Just an update to let you all know I'm still alive, but things have been tough. I've been homeless since April, and now my rescue ( focusing on roosters ) is being threatened to be shut down because of lack of donations and resources.
I promised that my next post would be about why chickens fight, cock fighting, and so forth, and I still intend that to be true. In fact, I rescued a fighter in that time, and he went from terrified of the other birds and trying to fight them at any chance he had, to sleeping next to them, following around my biggest rooster, and being a completely integrated member of my flock, and now even he helps integrate new members. He will flee before fighting now.

I hope you can continue on the rooster behavior / and training discussion. I would be interested in Less crowing roo's. Also interested in raising roosters(that are not agressive to me or visitors). and if the age of roosters could be like teenagers that rebel.. and that behavior gets better after time?
